Post-Treatment Care: What to Do After Your Peel
To protect your results and promote healing, follow these post-peel guidelines:
DO:
• Use a gentle, hydrating cleanser and a barrier-repair moisturizer
• Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily (no exceptions!)
• Allow flaking or peeling to happen naturally—don’t pick or exfoliate
• Stay hydrated and avoid heat, sweating, or heavy makeup for 24–48 hours
• Use post-treatment products recommended by your provider
(ex: SkinMedica TNS® Ceramide Treatment Cream or HA⁵® Hydrator)
DON’T:
• Use retinol, AHAs, BHAs, or exfoliants for 5–7 days post-peel
• Wax, shave, or get laser treatments on the area for 7–10 days
• Pick, peel, or scrub flaking skin—it can cause irritation or hyperpigmentation
• Expose your skin to direct sunlight or tanning beds
