Dermal Fillers

We lose volume in our faces as we age. This volume loss is due to fat, muscle, and bone loss. Dermal fillers, made of hyaluronic acid, a substance found throughout our body (especially in our skin), can replace this lost volume safely and effectively. Dermal fillers may be used to address symptoms of aging and cosmetic concerns anywhere on your face.

Overall, dermal filler injections are quite tolerable. Lidocaine is included in several of our dermal fillers to help with any discomfort you may experience during your treatment. A topical numbing lotion might also be used to make you feel more comfortable.

To begin, your aesthetician will evaluate your face to assess the severity of your wrinkles and folds and obtain a better grasp of the desired outcomes. Your physician will next apply a special numbing lotion to your face to keep you comfortable throughout your session.

The Dermal Filler is placed in areas where volume has been lost. You may undergo multiple injections to restore lost volume, remove unwanted wrinkles, and sculpt your facial features. Next, your provider will gently massage the region after placing the filler to guarantee a flawless result. Your complete treatment should take around 30 minutes to an hour, after which you can leave the facility and return to your regular schedule.

There is essentially no downtime involved with Dermal Filler injections. For at least 24 hours, you should avoid intense activity, alcoholic beverages, and exposure to extreme sun or heat. You should expect some moderate redness, soreness, stiffness, swelling, and lumps in the treated areas right after your session.
